What Members Take On
Members carry the council's work. In practice, that work has two halves.
Raising Funds
The council raises money through activities and events, and BBQs are one of the best known. Someone has to choose a date, gather supplies, staff the serving line, and clean up afterward. Members share those jobs. The
council's event and BBQ schedule shows what is coming up next.
Charitable Work
The money raised goes toward charitable programs, which include maternity care and food pantries. Members are the people who connect those programs to the community. Each program is described on the
council's charitable programs page, with separate pages for
maternity care and
food pantries.
